Born on August 19, 1969 Matthew is an American actor who is renowned for his portrayal of Chandler Bing (a character well remembered for his sarcastic remarks) in the famous Amercian sitcom Friends (1994- 2004). Matthew also played the role of Ron Clark in the TV movie The Ron Clark Story in 2006. Matthew has starred in many films like 17 Again (2009), The Whole Nine Yards (2000) and Fools Rush In (1997). In 2010, he also gave his voice to the character Benny in the RPG (role playing game) Fallout: New Vegas.
Though Perry had started to get guest appearences on televison in the 80s, he starred regularly in Sydney- an American sitcom broadcasted by CBS in 1990. He performed a guest role on the American drama TV series Beverly Hills, 90210 as Roger Azarian in 1991. After starring in Home Free for eleven episodes in 1993 Perry selected as a cast in the TV movie named L.A.X. 2194. Due to some delays in the L.A.X. project Matthew decided to audition for a role in Six to One (later known as FRIENDS) by producers David Crane and Marta Kauffman. He got the part of Chandler Bing and was widely renowned for it among the television viewers. Matthew presented a guest appearence on the well acclaimed drama series The Good Wife in 2012.

Matthew was also a Vicodin addict and lost much of his health to it. In the late 90s his weight showed drastic fluctuations and Matthew joined various rehab programs. In the May of 2013 Matthew was presented the Champion of Recovery Award by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.
