Graham ElliotBowles is a great American chef who was born in Seattle, Washington. He describes himself in his childhood days as a “Navy brat”. After dropping out of school at the age of 18, Graham worked as a bus boy and a dishwasher just to get a hint on the food business. At Johnson & Wales University did Graham attend culinary school for the first time.
After the culinary school Graham was posted at the Mansion on Turtle Creek (the five star property in Dallas). Elliot worked under Chef Dean Fearing who remarked that he had no memories of any such fellow chef. Graham improved greatly after moving to The Jackson House Inn & Restaurant situated in Woodstock where he was included in the Food & Wine Magazine’s 10 Best New Chefs list in 2004.
Later Graham worked under the great chefs Rick Tramonto and Charlie Trotter at TRU, Chicago. Subsequently Graham moved to Avenues at The Peninsula (Chicago) hotel and was decorated with many honors. Elliot earned Avenues four star ratings from magazines and newspapers like Chicago Sun- Times, Chicago Tribune and Chicago magazine. Under Graham Avenues also received a AAA Five Diamond Award distributed by AAA (American Automobile Association).
He opened his first fine- diner restaurant, the Graham Elliot, in Chicago in the May of 2008. The restaurant was a success with Chicago Tribune awarding it three stars. There are just three restaurants to have been awarded two stars by Michelin Guide and Graham Elliotis one of them.
He also featured in the popular television series Top Chef Masters in 2009. Along with two other great chefs Joe Bastianich and Gordon Ramsay, Graham was invited to be a judge at the American version of the popular TV series Master Chef in 2010. In 2010 and 2011 Graham served as the Culinary Ambassador in music fest Lollapalooza held in Chicago.
